Cerastone is a manufactured stone with the additional advantages of light weight and ease of installation.
Q. What is Cerastone made of?
Cerastone is cast in moulds taken from carefully-selected natural stone, using a process that replicates the colours and intricate textures of natural stone. Using blends of Portland Cement, Perlite (hi-grade Pumice) and iron oxide pigments. The manufactured stones exactly replicate the look and feel of natural stone.
Q. How does Cerastone compare in cost with natural stone?
Cerastone installed on the wall cost is substantially lower than the installed cost of natural stone. Cerastone requires no additional footings, foundations or wall ties, and installation time will be considerably less than when using natural stone.
Q. How is Cerastone sold?
Flat pieces are sold by the square metre, corner pieces by the lineal metre, hearth pieces and trim products are sold by the piece.
Q. How heavy is Cerastone?
Cerastone weight is approx. 30 – 50kg per metre square.

The pieces range in thickness from 30mm to 90mm, the average thickness being 50mm.

Occasional washing to remove surface dust and dirt is all that is required. Cerastone is virtually maintenance-free.
